Coming from far away for a vasectomy

A large proportion of patients travel a long way for their vasectomy, sometimes from very distant places such as Legnica, Szczecin, Rzeszów, Suwałki, or from abroad. Here are a few practical tips for vasectomy candidates coming from far away.

IF YOU PLAN TO DRIVE YOUR OWN CAR TO YOUR VASECTOMY:

1. If you have driven a long way for your vasectomy, you can drive yourself after the procedure, even for a very long time, and you do not need an extra person to help. The driver’s seat provides a comfortable body position. To drive yourself after a vasectomy, however, you should wait about 15-30 minutes and drink a strong sweet coffee during that time (which we offer to drivers).
2. Study the map of the route to the practice carefully to make sure how to park close to the entrance. Parking spaces are usually available near the practice.
3. You may eat a light meal no less than 3 hours before your vasectomy. Remember, however, not to eat heavy foods (those that stay long in the stomach), i.e. vegetables, fruit, fish and meat. An example of a light meal: scrambled eggs in butter, cottage cheese, a white roll, tea. After the procedure you can eat your fill.

IF YOU PLAN TO COME TO YOUR VASECTOMY BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

1. If you plan to come to us by public transport, first check the return times and schedule your vasectomy so that you do not wait too long for your transport home. For example, if your train arrives in Warsaw at 9:00 and the return train leaves at 15:00, it is better to have the vasectomy at around 13:00. Remember to secure a seat on the train.
2. Patients coming to their vasectomy by train should get off at Warszawa Wschodnia station, as it is the closest to the ZdrOva practice – just 3 bus stops or a 15-minute walk.
